GLENN GILBERT LIKES THIS WINE: 91 Points
Sunday, May 31, 2020 - 14% alcohol; imported by TR Wines, Napa, CA; NYTimes Wine Club, Premium Level; composite cork with a maximum wine penetration of 2 mm; light to medium weight foil; fast legs, medium purple/red; vinturied and tasted right afterward at approximately 18 degrees C; nose of alcohol, stone fruit, citrus, rhubarb, lychee, new-sawn pine; full bodied, tannins not so much in evidence, but rather a woody sourness & forest floor setting, supported by the sweetness and pithiness of stone fruit like cherries, plums & peaches; the finish calls for food, it practically cries out for pairing with red meat, especially beef, supported by the label with a red cow silhouette; additionally, it would make an attractive appetizer wine to serve to guests arriving for a dinner party
